How to Use Dota 1 Hotkeys/Shortcut in Dota 2 (Legacy Key)

Dota 2 shortcut or skill hotkeys is really friendly for the new players. It is easy to remember since you only have to know that skill 1 is Q, skill 2 is W, skill 3 is E and skill 4 is R. However, to veteran DotA 1 players, it’s not easy to change their habit with the old hotkey, including me. I’ve been playing DotA 1 for more than 5 years and I will always click W if I’m using Zeus and want to cast Thundergod Wrath. Fortunately, Valve know this and have the legacy feature for veteran players like us. Want to know how? Check this simple step to activate it!

How to Use Dota 1 Hotkey/Shortcut in Dota 2 (Legacy Key)
1. Go to Settings.
2. In the Hotkeys tab, check the Legacy Key as showed in the picture above.
3. Voila, everything is set and ready!
